Welcome back to another weekly roundup of Ice’s comic reviews! Comics for this week: Amazing Spider-Man #16 and All-Star Batman #1! Amazing Spider-Man #16 (Marvel) Written by: Dan Slott Art by: Giuseppe Camuncoli Amazing Spider-Man begins its actual trek towards the “Dead No More: The Clone Conspiracy” event happening later this year. I say actual because while teases for this event have been dropping since the first issue of the volume, the real story begins now. The new arc – that begins with this issue – leads into the event, serving as a prologue. Right away, artist Dan Slott teases us with something we don’t even realize is a teaser until the tiny plot twist near the end of the issue. Slott is setting up for major moments that will play off later for Peter Parker/Spider-Man and everyone around him that could mean huge atmospheric changes for the title. The cliffhanger at the end could mean a wrench in either the villain’s or Spider-Man’s plans (in a future issue) and it could go either way. Only way to find out is to keep reading.
